Me: Hey Geneva, I have an idea for a photoshoot…
Geneva: Sure, let’s hear it.
Me: I’m thinking something dark, gothic, possibly in a cemetery.
Geneva: That sounds awesome. I’m in. Let me go buy a costume.
That was about a month ago. Since then, Geneva actually prepared herself very well for the shoot. In the meantime, I was able to find us a location for the shoot. Yes, it was Sacramento Historic City Cemetery. We went out to the place to shoot last Saturday. By the time we got there, it was already a bit late, and we were losing light. On top of that, we only had about 45 minutes before they closed the cemetery down. This might have been one of the quickest shoots I’ve had.
Luckily, the security guy of the place was really nice. He didn’t have any problems with us wandering around; he even showed us which one of those tomb houses is open, and let us stay in a bit passed their closing time. The photos came out very nice; I’m very pleased with the way they did.
We ran into a few disagreements with what I thought versus what Geneva thought was good enough to post online. That said, I’m very happy with the ones on which we agreed. The photos came out like what I wanted and expected them to be. This checks another personal photoshoot project off my list. w00t!
Oh, by the way, photos were edited with Photoshop Lightroom 3.
