Tips on Print Sizes by Mark Wallace on AdoramaTV

What a coincidence. I just posted a link on my Facebook page to an excellent article on screen resolution v.s. screen resolution. Basically, it boils down to this: DPI (dots per inch), or sometimes interchangeably called PPI (pixels per inch), don’t matter at all on a monitor; they matter when you print. This week’s episode on AdoramaTV, Mark Wallace talks about how your camera resolution (megapixels) is related to print sizes. A nice good-to-know tip is that most printing companies’ printers are at 240dpi to 300dpi. I said most, not all. You’ll want to make sure what their printers can print by giving them a call or do a Google search. Here’s the link to download the cheat sheet from this episode: http://blog.snapfactory.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Camera-specs.xlsx
