This is one of the most inspiring videos I’ve seen. Photographer Ian Ruhter has such a strong passion for film, he started a wetplate project that practically cost all of his life saving to get it to work. We all know one thing that no project goes without any hurdles, and Ian Ruhter’s is not an exception. Throughout the course, Ian Ruhter ran into many problems that made him very disappointed and question whether he was going down the right path. At one point, it nearly cost him $500 to make ONE plate; but Ian never gave up. He finally got it to work, and he invites us to join his journey on his blog and Facebook.
Ian didn’t just build a giant camera; he built a time machine.
