Beauty light is one of the hardest lighting to master because of all the skin that needs to be properly lit. Today, Joel Grimes helps you control the shadows on the faces you’re capturing utilizing the beauty dish. By moving the light source up and down, or left and right, you could create different types of lighting. What’s more, you could also create the clamshell-lighting look by adding a white reflector on the bottom. I personally think this is one of the simplest, most effective and beautiful photoshoot setups. All you need is a wall, a beauty dish, a boom stand, your camera, and a gorgeous model like Jessica.
