If you’re a wedding photographer, you should know how important it is it photograph wedding rings; or, we sometimes call it “ring shots”. Things get quite hectic on the wedding day, so you only have at most a few minutes to get the shots. Things get even trickier when you try to capture the ring shots while stylizing the photos to best represent your brand. Jasmine Star has made a video with some very nice tips for photographing wedding rings. In the video, she’ll go over how she gets inspiration for wedding ring photos, what background works best when photographing wedding rings, whether she plans the wedding ring photos in advance, how long she spends photographing wedding rings, and how she sets up wedding rings.

In the second half of her video, Jasmine will show some demonstration on how she’d approach getting ring shots. I must say, she’s very ballsy for shooting with a macro lens from top down at f/2.8, 1/60s and hand held.
