I’m a huge sucker for time-lapse video, especially ones that involve the Milky Way or the Aurora. Check out this gorgeous video below that was shot by Alaska-based photographer Zan Butler. The video was shot during October 2011 and April 2012, so you can bet the weather was nothing but blazing cold. I think there’s a bit of a camera shake at the beginning of the video, and some towards the end, but overall, the video is great. I can totally understand how things might get difficult when you’re shooting time-lapse when it’s pitch black out and freezing. I wish there were locations on planet Earth where you can shoot this stuff without the extreme weather.
