I feel like I’m pretty much the only person in the time-lapse world who doesn’t know how to make a hyper-lapse video. Check out the video below called “A Moving Visit to the Hermitage” that was shot by Geoff Tompkinson. Not only am I impressed by the amount it took Geoff to secure the access to such a location, but I’m also amazed by the movement of his camera. I mean, we’re probably talking about at least 20-30 meters when other people are wondering around where he was shooting.

I think I can almost figure out what these guys are using for their tripod movement. Take a look at another video by Geoff that he shot through the Cloud Gate, especially at 0:13 – 0:15. It looks like he used a tripod on a tripod dolly to help with the movement (picture below).
