Nikon D600 Officially Announced!

Well well well, the wait is finally over folks. Nikon has officially announced their latest full-frame prosumer-grade body, the Nikon D600. I have been watching the news on this beast for quite some time now, so the specs are not anything unexpected. What really surprised me though, is the price point. At the price of $2100, I’m not sure why anyone would grab it instead of the D800/D800E. I’m somewhat disappointed, as I was going to get one of these had it been $1500 like the rumors suggested 🙁

As always, dpreview has already gotten their hands on the Nikon D600 body and taken it for a test drive. The specs are below, and you can pre-order the new body on B&H website or Amazon website.

– Price: $2100 body only on B&H and on Amazon, Body + 24-85mm VR kit: $2700 on B&H and on Amazon. (If you live in California, get the one on Amazon before they start collecting tax on Sept 15th)
