This is a very cool photoshoot that you don’t see everyday: Tim Tadder poses his models in a completely dark room, drops water balloons on them, and takes a picture as the balloon pops. The technique is not anything overly complicated, all you need is your strobes, and a remote trigger that’s sound-sensitive. First, you press the shutter and start exposing your photo in darkness. Second, the balloon popping sound is going to trigger the strobes and freeze the motion. The results are some of the most unique images I’ve seen.
