When it comes to headshot photography, there really isn’t anybody out there that’s better than Peter Hurley, in my opinion. Peter has the amazing ability to direct the subjects in front of this camera so well that their faces completely change for the better, which I didn’t think was even possible.
More than a year ago, Peter posted a tutorial video with tips on how to accentuate the jawline. This time, he’s produced yet another epic video about “squinching” – the technique where you do a little bit of squinting and a little bit of pinching. Little squint on top, a lot of pinching on the bottom. What this does is it makes you look confident in your photos, and no look like a deer in the headlights.
To get a better idea of how to perfect this technique, watch the video below. Keep in mind, Peter is teaching a workshop that will take place next year, May of 2014, in the Bahamas. For more details, check out Fstoppers Workshops website.
